Welcome to the DC Follies, 2016 Edition!

I had something else to post today, but the ongoing political smackdown is the gift that just keeps on giving--not just for late-night comics, but for some of us bloggers as well. I Googled 2016 Presidential Election Memes and found these gems....

Okay, whoever created that last one needs to be reported to the grammar police....

  1. They could have a comedy show with very high ratings. Thanks for the laughs.

  2. I hope Cruz runs off a cliff too.

Our Lady Of Perpetual Revision is appropriate.

What's nuts is that John Kasich is now looking like the most reasonable Republican.

  6. I think the worst thing for you guys is firstly the length of the run ups and then there's the candidates :) Does Donald Trump really stand a chance? Surely not, that seems just too incomprehensible! Who do you think should be elected Norma?

  7. Yep. Like I said, this year has been very entertaining indeed!

  8. Eve: That's where I got the title. There was once a TV show with puppet politicians (which was strangely appropriate) called DC Follies.

William: Scary, isn't it? (I think we may be sending Cruz back to you, since he was, after all, born in Canada!)

Mark: I don't know who created these, but I wish they'd get their spelling and grammar right!

Mari: Unfortunately, the election seems to go on and on and on and on....

Gayle: I think Barbara Bush was right (before Jeb decided to run) when she said we didn't need any political dynasties. No more Bushes, no more Clintons. Hillary seems to have this nutty idea that because her husband was President, she's entitled to be President, too.

Grace: The party doesn't want him, but unless the GOP pulls the same thing the DNC has been doing to Bernie Sanders and gives one of Trump's opponents a bunch of superdelegates randomly, he may indeed be the next President. How is Australia about accepting American refugees?

Lorelei: It has been fun. The scary part is that one of the kooks might be our next President!

Cheryl: We should probably elect Grumpy Cat!
